SUSTAINABLE TASTE
Famiglia Raguso is a modern, well-organized farm with low-impact production cycles: we care for nature the same way we care for our products. Every step is carefully monitored — from sowing, cultivation, harvesting, storage, and milling, to pasta production and packaging… because quality is also born from attention to detail.
Our wheat is grown in fields between Apulia and Basilicata, and our production follows the principles of a short supply chain and zero-kilometer sourcing. Grain by-products and hay from fallow fields used in crop rotation are repurposed as feed for livestock in our barns.
The material we use for our packaging ensures optimal preservation of the pasta and maximum recyclability of the pack.
Made exclusively from cellulose derived from wood sourced from responsibly managed forests — meeting strict environmental, social, and economic standards
(FSC® certified) — our bag is entirely recyclable as paper.

ZERO TREND
Pasta Raguso “Zero Residue” is the result of adopting eco-sustainable agri-food processes and limiting the use of non-natural plant protection products, ensuring that no chemical residues remain.
The by-products of wheat cultivation — such as stubble, straw, and milling residues — are reused either as feed for our semi-free-range cattle or as biomass for biogas production. Manure from the livestock is then used as natural fertilizer.
Our farm pasta factory is wood-free, and our pasta-making process is certified under the FSSC 22000 quality scheme, which guarantees the highest standards of product quality and food safety for the final consumer.

AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION
Our pellets are produced from harvesting and pruning residues, ensuring a functional reuse of what would otherwise be considered waste.
We fully offset our CO₂ emissions (carbon footprint) through a biomass boiler powered by organic residues such as straw, photovoltaic energy production with storage batteries, and the eco-sustainable cultivation of our fields.
Our goal for the coming years is to calculate the exact carbon footprint of each individual pack of pasta, constantly working toward net-zero impact.
Our agricultural practices are supported by a digital Decision Support System (DSS), which provides us with climatic, agronomic, and varietal data to assess the water and nutritional needs of our crops.
Satellite imagery, prescription maps, and digital systems also allow us to monitor vegetative health and optimize the use of fertilizers — customized for the different soil types in our fields — as well as plant protection products, with the ultimate goal of ensuring environmental, economic, and social sustainability.
